About This Blog

I’ve never read “Love in the Time of Cholera,” but that title inspired this one, back in the early 10s, I think.

The Time of Icarus metaphor is depressing and I don’t journal and blog to get depressed so I’m not going to explain it.

I’ve never read Viktor Frankl either, but I’ve heard he said that we always have a choice. I choose to love, no matter what, because I’m loved. I want this to be inspiring, for you and me.

You won’t find puppies and kittens here, even though I think those are important, even necessary, in order to love no matter what. But I’m more of an Eeyore, and I’m sure the Tiggers will keep the puppies and kittens coming, no matter what. Thank you!

What you will find here is something that, as my mother used to say of a good breakfast, “Sticks to your ribs.” That’s my goal anyway. Why me? Why not! If it sticks—if it helps you and me love no matter what—we’ll keep at it.

And if not, we’ll put less into these words and more into words by someone else. That’s how you deal with a Complex Adaptive System, I’m told.

You best start believing in complex adaptive systems, Miss Turner… you’re in one!
